Welcome Note

I am pleased to welcome you all as esteemed stakeholders to the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) webpage.  The QAU operates under the Office of the Vice Chancellor with a mission of facilitating quality practices in teaching, research, and community services to the satisfaction of all stakeholders’ expectations. The vision of QAU is to become a lively overseer organ in all quality matters for the delivery of cutting-edge academic programmes, research outputs, and community services.

At its start in 2007, UDOM started with an enrolment of 1,200 students. The enrolment has increased steadily for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and currently there are over 30,000 students. To ensure quality education, QAU has put in place comprehensive internal quality assurance mechanisms with tools to monitor the quality of teaching and learning, curriculum development, and a conducive learning environment.  Furthermore, QAU works closely with both internal and external stakeholders intending to improve the quality of UDOM core activities: teaching, research, and community services.

As we work together throughout, I inspire you to stay in contact with QAU. Our contacts are provided on this page for open communication and a dedication to continuous quality improvement. The Unit will continue to be a platform where stakeholders shall be engaged in making sure that UDOM continues to embrace quality culture in education.

You are all welcome.
