Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (DPGS)

Welcome to the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (DPGS) of the University of Dodoma (UDOM). The core function of the Directorate is to oversee the provision of postgraduate education at UDOM. The Directorate oversees the implementation of the postgraduate studies guidelines to Colleges/Schools/Institutes and coordinates admission and registration, among others.

Currently, 54 postgraduate programmes are offered. This includes five (5) Postgraduate Diploma, 45 Master degrees, three (3) PhD by Course Work and PhD by thesis programmes. The programmes run in two modes: full time or evening. This flexibility is specifically designed to provide educational opportunities for all. Our programmes are designed to produce graduates with knowledge and skills capable of making significant contributions to society as professionals.

The beginning of a new educational journey can be overwhelming even to a postgraduate student who has gone through the experience before. Most of the common questions every student may ask themselves would be whether they have made the right choice to join the University of Dodoma or even whether the programme admitted to will meet their expectations.
