College of Informatics and Virtual Education (CIVE)

The College of Informatics and Virtual Education (CIVE) has three departments namely; Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCS&E) running eleven (11) programmes, Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE) running four (4) programmes and the Department of Information Systems and Technology (DIS&T) running  twelve (12) programmes. In total CIVE runs fourteen twenty seven (27) programmes which include undergraduate degree programmes, diploma, masters and PhD in various computational disciplines according to market demand.

In CIVE one will find both traditional and recent/emerging computing disciplines such as; Bsc in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Msc in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Bsc in Software Engineering, Msc in Computer Engineering, Bsc. in Health Information Science and Bsc. in Multimedia Technologies and Animations, to mention but a few. CIVE is privileged with instructors who are highly committed to their job. In addition, CIVE has modern laboratories in different specializations such as: cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, mobile phone repair and maintenance, software engineering and laboratory for computer engineering. With these resources CIVE is one among leaning centers in Tanzania and Africa where students are guaranteed to graduate with knowledge, competencies and skills as demanded by the current labor market.
