About Justin

Justin W. Ntalikwa is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering in the department of Metallurgy and Mining Engineering, College of Earth Sciences and Engineering at The University of Dodoma.  He holds a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering from University of Wales, Swansea (United Kingdom), M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in Pulp and Paper Technology from the Norwegian Technical University (Trondheim). He is a Professional Engineer registered with Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB) and also a member of the Institution of Engineers Tanzania (IET).  He has also attended various professional development courses in the areas of research methodology, intellectual property, curriculum development for Universities, business plan write up, entrepreneurship and effective teaching methods in higher learning institutions.

 Prof. Ntalikwa has about thirty years of experience as a trainer in Chemical and Process, Mineral Processing and Petroleum Engineering lecturing in various courses such as material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, engineering thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, mechanical and mass transfer unit operations, plant design and economics.  He has carried out numerous researches in the areas of pulp and paper technology, colloids and interface science. His current areas of research interest are Bioenergy systems, renewable energy technologies and conversion of bio wastes into valuable products.  He has published several papers in these fields in peer reviewed international and local journals as well as presented many papers at conferences.
