Principal College of Earth Sciences and Engineering
Welcome Note
The College of Earth Sciences and Engineering (CoESE) is one of the eleven academic units within the University of Dodoma (UDOM). The College was formerly known as College of Earth Sciences (CoES) which was established in 2011 by transforming the then School of Mines and Petroleum Engineering (SMPE) that existed from 2009. Currently, the College has four departments namely:- Department of Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering (DMMPE), Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering (DPEE), Department of Geology (DG) and Department of Environmental Engineering and Management (DEEM). Since its establishment, the College has witnessed a tremendous growth, not only in terms of the number of programmes offered , but also student enrollment as well as staff recruitment, in line with the University's strategic plan. The CoESE community thrives to achieve the highest standards of service delivery as stipulated in UDOM Mission and Vision, by producing graduates who can seamlessly sail through the highly competitive career world. Our philosophy is to offer knowledge and skills training through carefully crafted curricula. We are all subscribing to the concept of teamwork by harnessing each and every individual's strength. This conceptual thinking puts us together while working hard to achieve high standards of training, research and offering public services, which are our core business. We thank and appreciate all stakeholders who, in one way or the other, contribute towards the success of CoESE.
You are all welcome.
