About Surendra
Prof. Nambury Surendra Babu is Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Natural and Mathematical Science, The University of Dodoma. He was born on 8th June 1972 in India. Prof. Babu obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from Sri Krishnadevaraya University in 2002 and held an M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the same university, which he completed in 1996. Prof. Babu specializes in Computational Quantum Chemistry and Material science, specifically on organic solar cells. He has 21 years of teaching experience and has been an Associate Professor at The University of Dodoma since November 2015.
Prof. Numbury Surendra Babu has made remarkable contributions to the field of Chemistry throughout his 25-year research career. His expertise is evident through his publishing of 55 research papers in esteemed national and international journals, 12 of which he authored independently. He actively engages in academic discourse by participating in 18 national and international seminars and workshops. In recognition of his expertise, Prof. Babu was invited to deliver a plenary talk at the International Conference on Advances in Materials Research (ICAMR-2019) held at Ramaiah University with association with the catalysis society of India - Bangalore chapter in Bangalore, India, in July 2019.
He was honored with the Professor B.N. Ghosh 80th Birthday Commemoration Award in 2006 by the Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata, India. Prof. Babu is an active member of several professional organizations, including The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), Pittsburg, Pa, USA, The Solar Energy of India, the Chemical Society of Japan, and the American Chemical Society, USA. His expertise and contributions have made him a respected figure in Chemistry.
