Ms. Amina  A. Nchimbi is an assistant lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics of the University of Dodoma Tanzania. She holds BSc.(Aquatic Environmental Science and Conservation), MSc.(Marine Science) both from the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania. She is currently taking her Ph.D. (Aquatic Science) (2018-2021)  at the University of Dar es Salaam Tanzania. Her main research area is on microplastic pollution in the aquatic environment and biota.

She sees the University of Dodoma as an important stepping stone for young scientists who want to grow in different disciplines of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, especially in aquatic sciences. Her vision is to see the participation of science students in this field area get motivated and help the Nation achieve its vision in the field of aquatic science and development.
