There, she acquired a strong interest in marine biology and the will to further pursue my career in marine environmental study fields. Afterward, she decided to continue her academic training at the masters' level at the University of Dar es Salaam, Institute of marine sciences (IMS), Zanzibar where she got a master's degree in Marine Sciences (Marine and coastal resources management). she had the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment and develop new skills in marine biology ecology and mariculture issues. The focus of her research project is more on the effects of harmful cyanobacteria on seaweed farming and people involved in the activity. Where she is trying to understand the impact of these effects on farmer's perception and the production of seaweed in Tanzania. She is  also interested in other marine and coastal related biotoxins with potential effects on humans and the environment including associated organisms. Her focus here is characterizing organisms and their toxins and understanding their toxicity to aquatic organisms.
