About Enock
Enock Makupa is a geographer trained in both physical and human geography at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and the University of Victoria, BC- Canada. He holds Diploma in education, Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Geography and Environmental Studies and Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Geography and Natural Resource Management as well as PhD in Geography, specialized in community wildlife conservation, management, and local livelihoods.
He is among the founder of Geography department in the University of Dodoma and for over seven years he has worked as a lecturer, teaching number of courses both undergraduate and graduate students include spatial organization, physical geography, environmental education, environmental and social impact assessment, natural disaster management, and climate change and development. Makupa has involved in a different research project related to poverty analysis, natural resource governance, community-based conservation, livelihoods, protected area and poverty reduction, natural disaster assessment as well as research knowledge mobilization. He has also attended and made a number of presentations at national and international levels. Dr. Makupa is currently the Chair of the department.
