Dr. Alex Reuben Kira graduated in Bachelor of Accounting & Finance from Mzumbe University – Morogoro, Tanzania in 2005 and an MBA from University of Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam – Tanzania in 2007. He graduated his PhD in Economics (Finance) from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics (SUFE) – Shanghai, China in 2013. He is the former head of the Department of Accounting and Finance; and Main Coordinator, The University of Dodoma, Directorate of Undergraduates Studies. Dr. Alex Kira is an experienced consultant with vast experience in fiscal policies. He has practical work experience in dealing with budget and tax evaluations; university admissions and criteria as per TCU. Currently he is working with The University of Dodoma as Lecturer of Accounting and Finance courses. As an instructor at the University of Dodoma, he lectures Public Finance & Taxation, Financial Institutions, Financial Management, Behavioural Finance, Financial Markets & Microfinance, Advanced Performance Management, Managing Financial Institutions, International Business Finance, Cost & Managerial Accounting and Lending Management to both undergraduate and graduate students. He has worked with several reputable organizations, including the Parliament of Tanzania, Mzumbe University, St. John's University of Tanzania, College of Business Education, Arusha Institute of Accountancy, Institute of Finance Management, Tanzania Investment Bank, Tanzania Institute of Education, Singita Grumeti Game Reserve, Local Investment Climate, Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, Institute of Rural Development and Planning, Local Government Training Institute, Dodoma Urban Water and Sewage Authority (DUWASA) as consultant, workshop facilitator, book writer, book reviewer, external examiner and instructor. He is also a reviewer, publisher and editor of several articles, books and journals.
