About Muhajir
Dr. Muhajir Mussa Kwikima is a respected academician currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Management at the College of Earth Sciences and Engineering, The University of Dodoma, Tanzania.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Water Management from the prestigious African Centre of Excellence for Water Management, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, which he completed in 2023. He also holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Science with a specialization in soil pollution control from the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, which he obtained in 2014.
Dr. Kwikima started his academic journey by attaining a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania, in 2009, where he consistently demonstrated academic excellence by attaining several academic awards, including being the overall best student in his graduating class.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kwikima has worked to further his knowledge through continuous learning, participating in several specialized training programs and workshops. He also gained work experience as an Agriculture Research Officer (Soil and Land Resources Management) with the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) from 2010–2016 before joining academia.
As an academician, Dr. Kwikima has guided several projects and maintains research interests in areas such as soil pollution control, environmental impact assessment, climate change, water resources management, and agriculture-environment linkages. He has over 10 publications in reputed international journals and has presented his work at various conferences.
