Dr. George Bennett is a hydrogeologist, received his PhD in Geology from Universiteit Gent in Belgium. He received his MSc in Physical Land Resources (specialisation: Land Resources Engineering) from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Universiteit Gent in Belgium, and his BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He joined the University of Dodoma in December 2009, three days after graduating from the University of Dar es Salaam. Dr. Bennett is a researcher and consultant in the fields of hydrogeology, water resources, mining, and environmental science; providing services to the public and private sectors. He has published several articles in international journals. His research interests include delineating aquifer structures and estimating their hydraulic properties, modelling groundwater flow, estimating groundwater recharge, hydrochemical and hydrogeochemical analysis, developing innovative drilling and blasting techniques, and estimating mineral reserves.
