Welcome to the Department of Economics of The University of Dodoma. The Department of Economics is one of the three departments in the College of Business and Economics. It hosts four undergraduate degree programs namely; Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BAES), Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Statistics(BAEST), Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology(BAES), and Bachelor of Environmental Economics and Policy (BAEEP). We also offer postgraduate programmes including taught masters degree in economics and a PhD In Economics by Thesis. Our graduates have assumed important posts that determine the direction of the public and private sectors in Tanzania.

Apart from Training, the department also offers research, consultancy, research-based public-sector services, and broader dissemination particularly within the fields of Economics, Environmental Economics, global development, Trade, Agricultural Economics, health economics as well as public policy and planning.
