About Josephat
Josephat Paul is a Tanzanian working as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education at the College of Education of the University of Dodoma-Tanzania, East Africa. Mr. Josephat Paul has been working in science education field with eight years of experience as from June, 2010 when he joined the University of Dodoma as a tutorial assistant and later as an assistant lecturer from 2015 to present.
Since then, he has been working as a research assistant in different projects conducted within and outside the University of Dodoma. He was involved in data entry and analysis in different projects namely, International Development and Early Learning Assessment Project (IDELA)-Tanzania (2016), UDOM funded project to Improve Reading and Literacy in Some Selected Primary Schools in Tanzania (2017), UDOM funded project to assess the impact of Income Generating Activities (IGA) in Primary School Students-Tanzania (2017), Teacher Education Support Project (TESP)-Tanzania (2017 to present) and Hisabati ni Maisha Project which was Conducted in Collaboration between the University of Dodoma (Tanzania) and the University of Alberta (2016-2017). He is also working as an assistant researcher into two ongoing projects which are; Language Supportive Teaching and Textbooks Project-Tanzania (2017 to present). This is the project conducted in collaboration between the University of Dodoma, St. John’s University of Tanzania and Bristol University (United Kingdom). He also works as Assistant researcher on Results Follow up on the project titled “Enhancing literacy and numeracy through digital content among primary schools in Nyarugusu Refugees’ Camp-Kigoma, Tanzania” (2017 to present). This project is conducted by the University of Dodoma under the sponsorship of Stockholm University and managed by the SPIDER (Sweden).

Areas of Research interests
- Josephat Paul is interested in Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning Approach, Contribution of Indigenous Knowledge to Science Education, and effective use of Teaching Resources in Science Education. Other interested areas include the role of community engagement in promoting science and technology in learning and gender roles in promoting science education.
