About Hector
Dr. Hector Mongi is a Senior Lecturer in information systems. He instructs on information systems courses, particularly focusing on areas interfacing information and communications technology (ICT) on the one hand and agriculture and water resources on the other. Hector's research interests are in ICT for Development (ICT4D), specifically relevance evaluation, mainly within the agriculture and water sectors. He is interested in evidence-based, mixed, and action-based research, as well as digital-driven development. He is an advocate for the cross-cutting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which seek to contribute to society through the agriculture and water sectors, with potential impacts ranging from local to global.
