Mr. Samwel Leonard Marwa is a Mass Communication, Media Studies' Instructor and Consultant at the University of Dodoma (Department of Arts and Media Studies) as well as a Journalist. His educational journey began at Erengo Primary School, then Waningo Secondary School and Runzewe Secondary School. He holds a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Dar es Salaam - School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC).

He teaches Mass Communication and Media Studies; (Radio Production and Broadcasting, Investigative Journalism, Media Ethics, News Writing and Reporting). He is specialized in Mass Communication and Broadcast Media. Mr. Marwa's Undergraduate Dissertation topic focused on "The Contribution of Instagram Pages in Promoting Men Trousers Entrepreneurship among Youths in Tanzania." 

He has worked as a Journalist, with over 4 years of experience at different media houses; first at Mlimani Media when he was schooling at the University of Dar es Salaam, and later at East Africa Television (EATV/Radio) which is well known as Channel Five.

As the growing Academician, Mr. Marwa has successfully participated and completed some professional training programs including Radio Journalism Training Course hosted by the United States Aids for International Development (USAID) and Internews Tanzania in 2019, and an Online Training on Digital Journalism by Meta-Journalism Project sponsored by REUTERS in 2022.
