About Majiyd
Dr. Majiyd Hamis Suru is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Policy Studies of the University of Dodoma. Dr. Majiyd holds a Ph.D. in Education (The University of Dodoma, 2015), a Master of Educational Management and Administration (University of Dar Es Salaam, 2007), and a BSc with Education (SUMAIT University, formerly the University College of Education Zanzibar- a Constituent of International University of Africa, 2004). Dr. Majiyd was employed as a Tutorial Assistant at the University of Dodoma in September 2007. Previously, he worked as a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Planning and Administration of the University of Dar Es Salaam from October 2005 to August 2007. In addition, as a teacher by specialisation, Dr. Majiyd taught Biology and Chemistry subjects at Ordinary Level Secondary Schools from 1998 to 2001 and Advanced Level Secondary Schools from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Majiyd's field of research includes but is not limited to educational management, educational planning, service quality, higher education, the economics of education, policy issues in education, total quality management in education, equity, participation of disadvantaged groups, and school improvement.
